L’ASCENSORE

Un uomo vive da solo al trentesimo piano di un grattacielo. Va sempre in ufficio alla stessa ora e ritorna a casa alla medesima ora. Quando deve scendere utilizza sempre l’ascensore, mentre quando, finito l’orario lavorativo, ritorna a casa, utilizza l’ascensore solo per salire fino al decimo piano, e sale i restanti piani a piedi. Perché?

A man lives alone on the thirtieth floor of a skyscraper. He always goes to the office at the same time and returns home at the same time. When he has to go down he always uses the elevator, while when, after working hours, he returns home, uses the elevator only to go up to the tenth floor, and climbs the remaining floors on foot. Why?
