EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE
Do you have a dinner and at the last minute you don’t know what to prepare as a dessert?
Then you have to try these apples enveloped in puff pastry.
Everybody will absolutely love them!
There are different variations this recipe: the simplest is the one done with the whole apple, but without the core and is the one that we will suggest today.
APPLES IN PUFF PASTRY
Ingredients for 4 people: 4 medium-small size apples (Golden, Renette or Stark) – 1 roll of puff pastry (frozen, fresh or homemade) – 4 tablespoons of apricot jam (other flavors and even honey are also fine) – 3 teaspoons of sugar – a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional) – 1 egg yolk (for brushing) – icing sugar and minced almonds to decorate
Wash, peel and remove the core and the internal seeds of the apples.
Cut the puff pastry roll into 4 squares (or rectangles) and fill each one with one apple. Instead of the core, insert the raisins, a teaspoon of sugar, a spoonful of jam (or honey), a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Prick the apples with a toothpick (this procedure will cook the inside of the apple better).
Close the bundles bringing the corners towards the center and brush the surface with a little beaten egg. If you have some puff pastry left over, it can be used to make decorations (flowers, hearts …). Bake in preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 15-20 minutes. Before serving, complete the presentation with a sprinkling of sifted icing sugar. You can also decorate with flaked almonds).
