Saving at home – Rolls filled with mozzarella, zucchini and bacon (or turkey)

The perfect snack to share with friends and family during summer evenings: here are the rolls with mozzarella, courgettes and bacon (or turkey).

An easy and tasty recipe, designed for a fun and tasty quick lunch or cocktail.

A cheerful and fun idea that can also be created for festive occasions, such as birthdays or summer parties. A “smart” recipe that is prepared in less than half an hour (net of cooking time), also thanks to the use of ready-made pizza dough. The swivels are stuffed with a rustic filling, combining mozzarella, grilled zucchini and bacon (or turkey). A trio full of flavor that usually meets everyone’s taste.

Let’s start:

ROLLS WITH MOZZARELLA, ZUCCHINI AND BACON (OR TURKEY)

Ingredients for 4 people: 400 g dough for pizza – 2/3 zucchini – 130 g mozzarella cheese – 100 g sliced bacon (or turkey) – 4 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese – a few thyme leaves

Preparation:

Clean the zucchini and slice them lengthwise.

Grill them on both sides and set aside.

Cut the mozzarella into thin slices. On a floured pastry board, roll out the pizza dough with a rolling pin and form a rectangle, (not too thick).

Spread the sliced ​​bacon (or turkey), the zucchini and mozzarella, leaving 1 cm free from each edge.

Sprinkle with parmesan and finish by spreading a few leaves of fresh thyme.

Roll the dough starting from the shorter side of the rectangle, forming a narrow cylinder.

With a knife cut the roll into slices a couple of centimeters thick and arrange them, spaced, on a plate lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven at 180° for about 20-25 minutes. Once ready, take out of the oven, let cool and serve.
