Saving at home – Baked potatoes


Hello everyone!

This very easy recipe allows you to bring an elegantly presented side dish on the table.

You will find two variants, one with the peel and stuffed inside and another wrapped directly in ham (or turkey); you can prepare both or just the one you like best.

Let’s start:


Ingredients for 4 people: 8 white potatoes – 80 g. of sliced ​​smoked bacon (OPTIONAL) – 50 g. of cooked ham type “Praga” (or turkey) – 30 g. Colonnata lard (you can replace the lard with a little butter) – 4 sprigs of rosemary – 2 cloves of garlic – extra virgin olive oil – salt


Carefully wash 4 potatoes with their skin, then dry them; peel the other potatoes and wash them.

Wrap each potato with the skin in aluminum foil.

Prepare 4 more aluminum sheets and divide in the center of each the lard cut into slices (or the butter), the sprigs of rosemary, the peeled potatoes that you have wrapped with the cooked ham (or turkey).

Close all the packets and arrange them on the oven tray, cook in preheated oven at 200 ° for about 50 minutes.

In the meantime, heat a few tablespoons of oil in a pan, brown the garlic and add the sliced ​​bacon and cook until it becomes crispy (just put the garlic if you don’t want to use the bacon).

When the potatoes are cooked, arrange them on plates, make a deep cut in those with the skin, salt them and insert the bacon (optional) with the cooking sauce into the cut.
