Saving at home – Tangerine cake


Hello everyone!

How about a simple and fragrant cake, which brightens the awakenings of winter with a slight taste of mandarin? A perfect recipefor breakfast, easy to make and very tasty.

Not too sweet, delicate, it can also be filled with a citrus cream, with a delicate jam, or whatever you prefer.

Let’s start:


Ingredients for 4 people: 2 eggs – 250 g of “0” flour – 2 tangerines – 1 sachet of baking powder – 150 g granulated sugar – 150 g milk – 50 g of butter – icing sugar – breadcrumbs – 1 pinch of salt


Let’s start by beating the eggs in the mixer. We aAdd the sugar, little by little.

Grate the peel of the untreated mandarins, after having washed them well. Limit yourself to the pigmented part, stopping at the albedo (white part of the citrus fruit).

Squeeze to get the juice.

Add the juice and grated zest to the dough.

Now work the butter with a wooden spoon, and add it to the dough.

Pour milk at room temperature.

Weigh and sift the flour with the baking powder, then pour it into the mixer with a pinch of salt.

Run for a few minutes at medium speed. Butter the pan, and cover with fine breadcrumbs.

Pour the mixture.

Put in a static oven at 170 ° for 40 minutes.

Try the toothpick test: if it’s dry, take it out.

Leave to cool for a long time before taking away from the mold.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
