Soluzione/Solution: 40 OPPURE/OR 96

Ecco la prima soluzione possibile. 8+ 11 fa 40. Perché? La somma è reale, ma gli addendi non sono due, bensì tre. Bisogna aggiungere il risultato della riga precedente. Quindi 8 + 11+ 21. E il risultato è 40

Ed ecco la seconda soluzione, più intricata. Si tratta di giocare sui due addendi. Prima della somma, bisogna fare una moltiplicazione tra i due e quindi sommare il primo numero. Prendendo ad esempio al prima riga: vero è che 1+ 4 = 5. Ma vero anche che (4×1) + 1 = 5. E questo calcolo si adegua anche agli altri risultati. Ed ecco arrivati al punto di domanda: (11 x 8) + 8 = 96

And here’s the second, more intricate solution. It is a question of playing on the two addends. Before adding, you need to multiply the two and then add the first number.
