Stewed cuttlefish with potatoes and tomatoes are delicious in their simplicity, and are ideal for a fish-based dinner to be enjoyed with the whole family, where everyone will appreciate dipping the sliced bread in the sauce.
Easy to clean (as they have no bones) and comfortable to cook, here’s how to bring them on the table in a few steps.
CUTTLEFISH WITH POTATOES AND TOMATO SAUCE
Ingredients for 4 people: 600 g of small cuttlefish – 300 g of potatoes – 200 g of tomato pulp – 1 clove of garlic – 1 tablespoon of pine nuts – 1 sprig of basil – extra virgin olive oil – salt and pepper
Clean the cuttlefish well, removing the bone and the inner and outer skin.
Wash them thoroughly by leaving them for a long time under running water, then dry them.
Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into pieces.
Wash the basil and chop the leaves with your hands.
In a pan pour a drizzle of oil and brown the slightly crushed clove of garlic.
Once golden, add the tomato pulp, basil and a pinch of salt.
After 5 minutes of cooking, add the potatoes, cuttlefish and pine nuts, and cook for 20 minutes over medium heat.
When cooked, season with salt and pepper and serve hot with its cooking sauce.
Enjoy your meal!
