Today we’re going to go for something new: embroidery.
Don’t worry, with this easy project and the free template, you will be able to embroider a hat.
It’s for sure a gift that will be appreciated and also a bit different!

EMBROIDERED BERET

Materials:
Scissors – needle (no. 18) – colored thread (see below)

Print the files on A4 paper.
Cut out the patterns.
You can apply this embroidery pattern on a wool or felt beret.
Transfer the pattern to the beret. Silk paper method (this method works well for thick fabrics like felt). Trace the pattern onto silk paper, pin the paper to the fabric, and stitch right through the paper and the fabric together, following the pattern markings. Use this method to outline and remove the paper before starting with the fill stitches.
Embroider stems with stem stitch and fly stitch.
Embroider the outline of the leafs with chain stitch.
Embroider the outline of the flowers with back stitch.
Remove the silk paper with care.
Fill flowers with satin stitch.
Fill leaves with chain stitch and embroider leafs with fishbone stitch according to the pattern.
Embroider flowers with woven wheel stitch.
Embroider flower centres with french knots and embroider the rest of french knots.
