The fennel, egg and taleggio flan recipe is an easy and delicate recipe. A delicious gratin consisting of soft bread and simple and tasty ingredients. It’s ready in no time and is a great idea for a family dinner.
FENNEL, EGG AND TALEGGIO CHEESE FLAN
Ingredients for 4 people: 7 small fennel – 5 slices of wholemeal bread – 3 eggs – 200 g of taleggio cheese – 60 g of butter grated parmesan cheese – milk – fresh wild fennel – salt – black pepper
To make the fennel, egg and taleggio cheese flan, start boiling or steaming the fennel keeping them rather crunchy.
Cut them into slices lengthwise and collect them in a bowl. Cook, shell and cut the eggs into rounds, cut the taleggio cheese into slices. Grease a baking dish and place the slices of bread on the bottom after having soaked them in milk and let them drain.
Make a first layer of fennel and follow with the slices of eggs and slices of cheese. Complete with a few flakes of butter and a sprinkling of grated parmesan. Put in a preheated oven at 180° and cook until the cheese is melted and the flan covered with a golden crust.
Remove from the oven and serve the fennel, egg and taleggio flan hot or warm, after having decorated it with wild fennel.
