Saving at home – 7 jars apple pie

Hi everyone!

This cake is the apple version of the famous “no scale” dessert recipe.

Quick and easy to prepare, the seven jars apple pie is a recipe that enhances all the flavor of fruit, used both in the filling and as a decoration.

Let’s start:

Ingredients for 4 people: 3 apples – 1 jar of natural whole white yogurt – 2 jars of 00 flour – 1 jar of potato starch – 1 jar of peanut oil – 1 jar of granulated sugar – 3 eggs – 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon – the grated peel of 1 untreated lemon – 1 sachet of instant baking powder – 1 pinch of icing sugar for decoration

Making the Seven Jars Apple Pie is quick and easy. In a bowl, combine the eggs, oil, yogurt and a pinch of salt. Beat with a whisk for a few minutes. Then add the flour, starch, sugar, lemon zest, cinnamon and finally the yeast.

Work the mixture again with the whisk for a few minutes until it is homogeneous.

Cut two apples into cubes and one into slices, which you will use for decoration.

Lightly flour the apple pieces. Pass them through a sieve in case there is excess flour. Add them to the mixture, mixing gently.

Transfer the dough into a 22-24 cm springform mold previously greased and floured, or lined with baking paper. Place the thin slices of apple on the surface of the cake without pressing too much, decorating as desired.

Bake in a hot oven at 170 ° C for about 50-55 minutes. The toothpick test is worth it. Be careful: it is better not to open the oven before 30 minutes have elapsed, as starch-based cakes are much more susceptible to thermal changes and could therefore risk sagging slightly.

Remove from the oven, unmold and let cool.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Enjoy your meal!
