Saving at home – Vanilla pudding


Hi everyone!

The vanilla pudding is a very simple but very delicious homemade dessert, to be enjoyed as a snack and on any occasion.

The recipe is very easy and cheap. It is a delicate vanilla pudding prepared with eggs, milk and cream: to be served cold, after a few hours of settling in the refrigerator.

Let’s start:


Ingredients for 4 people: 450 g of whole milk – 200 g of fresh cream 100 g – of granulated sugar – 4 egg yolks – 50 g of cornstarch – 1 vanilla pod – 30 raspberries


To make the vanilla pudding, pour the cream and milk into a saucepan.

Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise, and with the tip of the knife scrape the seeds inside. Add them to the milk and add the “empty” pod. Bring everything to just touch the boil, over low heat. In a separate bowl, collect the egg yolks with the sugar and the sifted cornstarch.

Mix with a spatula or a hand whisk until the mixture is homogeneous. When the milk and cream have reached the boil, remove the vanilla pod and pour in the mixture of egg yolks, stirring with a whisk. Continue to stir over low heat for a few minutes, until the cream has thickened.

Take 4 glasses, or glass bowls, with a capacity of about 180 g each and fill them halfway with the cream obtained.

Add 4 raspberries to each glass, cover with the rest of the cream and decorate as desired with the remaining raspberries.

Cover with cling film and refrigerate to harden for at least 6 hours before serving.

The vanilla pudding is ready!!!
