Today we will try this very easy vegan recipe, with a dough made without butter and eggs: the nut doughnuts.
hese cakes are really amazing!
I can promise you that they will not last long, actually, they will disappear in no time!!!
They are also perfect to give for Christmas or to put in the Epiphany stocking and you can keep them for several weeks.
LITTLE DONUTS WITH NUTS
Ingredients for 4 people: 225 g flour 00 – 75 g walnut kernels – 75 g white wine (or juice) – 50 g extra virgin olive oil – 50 g sugar – 1 teaspoon baking powder for sweets – 1/2 sachet vanillin – little sugar
First chop the kernels until they are reduced to a flour.
Put the chopped nuts in a bowl and add the flour, sugar, yeast and stir.
Add white wine (or juice), extravirgin olive oil, vanilla and work all the ingredients until you get a soft and compact dough.
Detach twenty pieces (all of the same size) and form cords about 1 cm thick.
Approach the ends of each strand and close it like a kind of donut; proceed in this way also with the others.
Pass the nut doughnuts in the sugar and then place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper, bake in preheated oven at 180° for 20 minutes, until golden brown.
Do not leave them in the oven, otherwise they will become too dry.
