Saving at home – Tiramisu

EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE

Hi everyone!

Today’s recipe is one of my favorites of Italian cuisine… tiramisu.

The original recipe includes the use of liquor, but I don’t put it and I guarantee that it is delicious the same.

To have a perfect tiramisu you need to follow two important steps:
1. Take the mascarpone out of the fridge half an hour before preparing;
2. Use eggs at room temperature

Let’s start:

TIRAMISU

Ingredients for 4 people: 4 medium eggs – 500 g of Mascarpone cheese – 4 tablespoons of sugar – 300 g of biscuits type savoiardi – 8 cups of cold coffee (prepared with the moka) – 50 g of liqueur that you like (optional) – sifted bitter cocoa – salt

Preparation:

First divide the egg yolks from the egg whites and put them in two different bowls.

Add 1 tablespoon of sugar to the egg yolks and, helping with the whips or an electric mixer, mix well until it is clear and fluffy.

Now add the Mascarpone and work the mixture until you get a smooth and fluffy cream.

Now whip the egg whites, which must be very dense and solid.

Start working only the egg whites until they are semi-mounted.

At this point add little by little 2 tablespoons of sugar and continue to whip until well firm.

Once the right consistency is reached, add the other part of the mixture containing the yolks and mascarpone.

It is important that you do this very gently, incorporating everything from bottom to top, so that the egg whites do not lose their softness.

Pour everything into a sac à poche and put it in the fridge to rest.

Mix 1 tablespoon of remaining sugar with the coffee liqueur and with the cold coffee to make the sauce that will be used to soak the biscuits type savoiardi.

Assemble your tiramisu: take a small baking dish and spread inside a layer of cold cream, then cover it with a layer of savoiardi (ladyfinger biscuits) soaked before in the coffee.

Cover with another layer of cream, then with one of ladyfingers and so on until the ingredients are finished.

Put the cake in the refrigerator for at least two hours.

Before serving, sprinkle the surface with the sifted cocoa powder.
