Saving at home – Roman style pasta

EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE

Hi everyone!

The real name of this recipe is pasta alla checca and it’s a typical recipe from Rome, usually eaten cold or at room temperature, whose preparation is of a disarming simplicity

So if you don’t know what to cook for dinner, but above all you don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen, this pasta dish is the recipe for you.

Let’s start:

ROMAN STYLE PASTA

Ingredients for 4 people: 320 g pasta – 350 g cherry tomatoes – 200 g burrata cheese- 200 g Roman caciotta – salt – pepper – 10 basil leaves – evo oil

Preparation:

Start by cooking the pasta in abundant salted water for the time indicated on the package.

Meanwhile wash the tomatoes and cut into cubes (not too large).

Season with a pinch of salt and put them inside a strainer to make it lose some water.

Tear the pieces of burrata cheese with your hands and transfer it into a large bowl together with fresh basil and tomatoes.

When the pasta is ready, drain and cool it under the jet of running water.

Transfer it into the bowl with the tomatoes, add the caciotta cheese cut into cubes, a round of extra virgin olive oil and fresh pepper.

Let the pasta rest for a few minutes before serving.

Enjoy your meal!

  1. This sounds the perfect recipe for a hot summer day. And now it is getting hot over here in Mumbai. But my awful daughters have put me on a diet and no pasta for me boo hoo. Aren’t you participating in the A to Z this year? You were one of my lucky finds last year.
