DIY (91) – Fabric bead bracelet

Hi everyone!

You don’t know what to do with fabric scraps that you have at home?. This fabric bead bracelet tutorial is so simple that you might want your kids to get involved in fabric choices and bead patterns.

The result will be amazing and you can make stunning and unique statement bracelets that you will want to wear time and time again.

Let’s start!

DIY N. 90

Scrap/organic fabric cut into triangular strips – memory wire [approx 44″ long] – closing clips – pliers – fabric glue – bamboo kebab skewer [sharp end removed if you do this diy with kids!]

Start to roll your fabric triangles around the bamboo skewer, starting from the wide base of the triangle.

Apply glue along the length of the fabric and continue rolling until the bead is complete.

Remove your bead carefully and allow to dry completely. [you need about 15 beads].

Bend one end of the memory wire around and secure with a ring shape using the pliers.

Thread beads onto wire.

Do the same with the other beads.

Apply the closure clip.

Use different shape strips of fabric to create different shaped beads. e.g. rectangular strips will create cylinder style beads!

To create a different finish, you could use non-fraying materials such as felt or knit fabric.

Use recycled magazines and newspapers to create a paper bead bracelet. Seal the outside of the bead with mod podge or similar!
