Saving at home – Pan pizza


Hi everyone!

Is pizza too long to prepare? Well, we will show you that with this recipe it’s absolutely not true!

This pizza does not require long leavening times thanks to the use of instant baking powder.

So you will get a great pizza, ready in just 15 minutes!!!

Let’s start:


Ingredients for 4 people: For the dough: 325 g flour – 180 ml water – 10 g instant baking powder – 30 ml extra virgin olive oil – 1 tablespoon of salt – 5 g sugar. For the filling: 100 g tomato puree – 125 g Mozzarella cheese – 70 g cooked ham (or turkey) – 150 g Gorgonzola cheese – oregano – salt – pepper


To prepare the pizza in the pan take a bowl and sift inside the flour and the instant baking powder. Add sugar and salt and stir to mix the ingredients. Now pour in water and extra virgin olive oil. Work the dough with your hands until you get a soft and elastic to the touch.

Divide it into two equal parts and roll out two discs with a rolling pin; make sure it is thin to facilitate cooking. You have to consider that the heat of the stove will never reach the temperatures of the oven.

Heat a non-stick frying pan covered with a lid. Meanwhile cut into strips the cooked ham (or turkey) and the Mozzarella cheese. In a separate bowl mix the tomato sauce with oregano, a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper. Keep all the ingredients at hand.

lace the first disc of pasta in the pan and cook 3 minutes per side removing the lid just to turn the pizza. To turn it without breaking it you can help with a serving plate.

At the end of this operation, fill the pizza with a thin layer of tomato sauce seasoned with slices of Mozzarella cheese, with cooked ham (or turkey) and Gorgonzola cheese. 

Cook for 10 minutes by repositioning the lid on the pan. Keep the heat moderate to avoid burning. Repeat the same procedure for the second disc of pasta; to speed up you could use two different pans.

After this time, enjoy your pizza in a hot pan. Bring it to the table whole or already cut into slices.
