Do you have some old crayons at home? This is the best way to recycle them!
By mixing them with candle wax, you will be able to make beautiful candles! It’s up to you to decide if you want to make them in a recycled glass vase, or in an old glass.
DIY N. 124
CANDLES FROM CRAYONS
Wax – Old crayons – Candle Wick – Glass cups – Paper cups – Crisco Shortening (optional)
In each paper cup, put wax and one color crayons and heat in the microwave for one minute.
Place the wick in the middle of the glass cup, and then pour your first melted wax.
Wait for the first color wax to become solid enough that it holds the shape that you want. You can also make this project a little easier by having horizontal blocks of colors instead of diagonal ones.
But still, you have to wait for the wax to cool and become solid before you pour the next color so they will not mix.
Make sure that the wick stays in the middle. And when you are with the last color, place the glass in an upright position.
I hope you liked today’s idea! 🙂
