Hi everyone!

Do you love spring rolls and you want to try cooking them at home?

With this simple recipe and you will get excellent spring rolls, crunchy and tasty, even better than those usually eaten in Chinese restaurants.

Let’s start:

SPRING ROLLS (CHINA)

Ingredients for 4 people: 1 box of dry sheets for spring rolls – Cabbage – Carrots – Soybean sprouts – Ginger – Garlic – Onion – Soy sauce

Preparation:

Wash all the vegetables thoroughly and let them dry well.

Slice the cabbage into thin strips.

Cut the carrots into julienne, using a sharp knife or a tool to cut the vegetables into julienne.

Combine all the vegetables in a large glass bowl.

Meanwhile, finely chop the ginger, garlic and spring onion.

Pour a little olive oil in a pan and put it on the heat.

Sauté ginger, garlic and onion gently.

When the sauté has taken color, add carrots and cabbage.

After a minute, the vegetables will be cooked but still firm, and you can add the bean sprouts and soy sauce.

Cook for a little longer, maximum thirty seconds, because the soybean sprouts have to cook little to remain crisp.

Transfer the vegetables from the pan to a plate, so as to block the cooking and let them cool.

In a small bowl, mix a little cornstarch with water, to obtain a natural liquid glue, which will be used to close firmly the edges of your spring rolls.

Thaw the sheets ready for spring rolls.

Take them out of the freezer about 20 minutes before you start filling them.

Drain any liquid or water from the vegetables, which in the meantime will be cold.

Take a sheet for spring rolls and roll it out on the worktop.

Put a spoonful of vegetables in one of the corners, begin to roll the turbot and, once in the middle, close the side flaps inside, so as to seal the cylinder and avoid that in cooking can enter too much oil.

Wet the upper corners of the sheet with natural glue and finish rolling the cylinder.

Fry the spring rolls in hot oil, until they are golden brown and put to dry on paper towels.

The Spring rolls are ready, excellent to eat hot but also cold, accompanied by a spicy or sweet and sour sauce.
