Saving at home – Potato rosti with breasaola (dried beef)

EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE

Hi everyone!

The potato rosti (Rösti) is a Swiss potato dish that is often enriched with onions, bacon, cheese, herbs and so on.

My version is without bacon and with bresaola (dried beef) instead of speck.

These potato Rösti are really great, alone or accompanied with Russian salad or tuna sauce, but also with a nice cucumber salad and Greek yogurt would not be bad, you just have to be careful to use some not watery potatoes.

Let’s start:

POTATO ROSTI WITH BRESAOLA (DRIED BEEF)

Ingredients for 4 people: 600 grams potatoes – 100 grams of bresaola (dried beef) – 50 grams of flour – salt – pepper – marjoram – oil for frying

Preparation:

Peel the raw potatoes and cut them julienne with a grater with very large holes.

Add the finly chopped bresaola (dreid beef), and 2 tablespoons of flour. Then season with salt and pepper to taste (be careful with the salt, since the bresaola is already quite tasty), and marjoram.

Work the mixture well with your hands so that the flour can absorb the starch released from the potatoes.

Make balls with your hands and then crush them to make small pizzas about 1 cm thick.

Fry the Rösti in a non-stick pan with a little bit hot oil 4 minutes per side.
