Saving at home – Tomatoes in puff pastry

EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE

Hi everyone!

Today we will try this idea to add to a summer buffet: the tomatoes in puff pastry.

These tomatoes wrapped in ham (or turkey or breasola) and finally in the puff pastry, are really tasty

Let’s start:

TOMATOES IN PUFF PASTRY

Ingredients for 4 people: 1 roll of puff pastry – 12 tomatoes – 100 grams of raw ham (or turkey or bresaola) – 1 egg – salt – pepper – basil – sesame seeds

Preparation:

Wash the cherry tomatoes and create from the side where you removed the stem, a cavity.

Fill the tomatoes with salt, pepper and chopped basil.

Wrap each tomato with a slice of raw ham (or turkey or bresaola).
Roll out the puff pastry on a pastry board and with a round pasta cup of about 8 cm circles.

Brush each headband with beaten egg then place in the center of each headband a tomato wrapped in ham (or turkey or bresaola).

Seal the base tightly.

Then place the obtained balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, placing the sealed part downwards.

Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds and poppy.

Then bake in a hot oven at 200 º C for 15 minutes or until golden.
