Saving at home – Savory cake with olives and dried tomatoes


Hi everyone!

Here we are with a slightly different savory recipe: the savory cake with olives and dried tomatoes, a perfect recipe to be served in a buffet or as an appetizer to be eaten as a packed meal on trips out of town.

A rustic flavor and intense scent, easy to prepare and made with a few ingredients.

To cook it in fact, you just need to have in the pantry: flour, milk, eggs, extra virgin olive oil, dried tomatoes, black olives, a little ‘yeast for savory cakes and Chevre cheese (goat).

With a few simple moves you will be able to give life to a truly divine recipe.

Let’s start:


Ingredients for 4 people: 200 g flour – 1 sachet of yeast for savoury pies – 4 eggs – 200 g Goat Trunk – 1 tablespoon oregano – 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil – 70 g dried tomatoes – 100 g pitted black olives – 100 ml milk – a knob of Président Butter – salt q.b. – pepper q.b.


To make the pie with olives and dried tomatoes, first of all you have to get a large pot.
Then break the eggs inside and beat them well.
Then, continuing to work, add the extra virgin olive oil, milk and, little by little, the flour sifted together with yeast.

Mix everything together until you get a smooth and homogeneous mixture.
At this point add to the dough the Chevre cheese (goat cheese) cut into cubes, the coarsely chopped olives and dried tomatoes cut into julienne.

Season with salt, pepper and a sprinkling of oregano.
Stir again and pour the mixture into a loaf pan, already buttered and floured.

Finish your savory pie with olives and sun-dried tomatoes, baking it in a preheated oven at 190 º C. for about 45 minutes.
