Today we will see how to prepare the simple version of the Quiche lorraine: the simple savory pie.
A delicious dough stuffed with mozzarella, cooked ham (you can replace it with turkey or chicken) and grated parmesan.
SIMPLE SAVOURY PIE
Ingredients for 4 people: 300 g dough for pies – 200 g mozzarella – 250 g cooked ham (turkey or chicken) – 40 g grated grana – 3 eggs – 2 tablespoons fresh cream – salt and pepper
First, unroll the pie dough in a 26 cm diameter baking pan using the paper in which it is rolled to cover the mould. In a bowl beat the eggs with the cream, and a little bit of salt.
Add the mozzarella, previously diced and put to drain in a colander, and the diced ham (or even chicken or turkey) and stir. Spread the filling on the dough.
Add a little pepper, fold inwards the dough that comes out of the pan, and press along the edges.
Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 190° C for 30 minutes.
Bake the simple savory pie and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
