You should definitely try to make these savory pancakes, ideal for an appetizer, which are prepared with only 3 ingredients: water, flour and baking powder!
Just put everything in a bowl, stir, let rise and finally fry. In a few steps you will make delicious golden pancakes, fragrant and also suitable for vegans!
Ingredients for 4 people: 500 g flour – 500 ml water – baking powder (3,5 g) – 1 teaspoon sugar – 1 teaspoon salt – oil for frying
In a large bowl put the flour, water, baking powder, salt and sugar and work with a whisk until you get a smooth and homogeneous batter.
Once the batter is ready, cover it with food film and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour (the oven at a minimum heat is fine).
After the leavening hour, heat abundant oil in a large pan; the ideal temperature that the oil must reach is about 170-180 degrees.
Take the batter in spoonfuls and pour it into the hot oil; this operation is easier with 2 tablespoons, one to take the batter and another to push it into oil.
Fry the pancakes until golden brown, turning them with a skimming ladle (about 3 – 4 minutes of cooking). Cook the pancakes, lay them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve the savoury pancakes still warm accompanied by a nice platter of cold meats and cheeses!
