Saving at home – olives and capers sauce

Hi everyone!

Today we will prepare a quick and easy to prepare sauce, a great combination for any type of pasta: this sauce is suitable also for vegetarians.

The original recipe, however, provides the use of mozzarella cheese that goes well with both the tomato and the capers.

Let’s start:

OLIVES AND CAPERS SAUCE

Ingredients for 4 people: 100 g Mozzarella – 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil – 15 leaves of basil – 2 tablespoons of capers – 8 black olives – 200 g tomato pulp – 175 g cherry tomatoes – 1 onion – 1 clove of garlic

Preparation:

Brown 2 tablespoons of oil with a chopped onion in a large pan. Add the finely chopped garlic clove and about 15 basil leaves cut into strips.

Let the leaves dry and then add the chopped tomatoes. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Add the tomato pulp and leave on the heat for 5 minutes. Finally, add 2 tablespoons of capers and 8 olives cut into rounds. Let your olive and caper sauce flavor well.

At this point you can add ( for the nonvegans), the Mozzarella, cut into cubes, which will begin to melt and give more flavor to the olives and capers sauce.
