Saving at home – Cordon Bleu

EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE

Hi everyone!

When we talk about Cordon Bleu, we mean a chicken cutlet filled with ham and cheese.
The ham can be easily replaced with turkey or sliced chicken.

It’s a great recipe to prepare in large quantities and then freeze them. You can also buy them ready, but believe me these homemade are not comparable!!!

Let’s start:

CORDON BLEU

Ingredients for 4 people: 4 slices of chicken breast – 80 grams of cooked ham (or sliced chicken or turkey) – 4 slices of cheese – 1 egg – breadcrumbs – seed oil – salt

Preparation:

Beat the chicken breast slices with a tenderizer.

Fill each slice with a bit of cooked ham (or turkey/sliced chicken) and a slice of provola cheese, distributing it on half of the slice of chicken and leaving the edges free.

Close the meat in your wallet.

Beat the egg in a dish with a little salt.

Pass the cordon bleu first in the beaten egg and then in the breadcrumbs.

When breading them make sure that the edges seal perfectly so as to prevent the filling from escaping during cooking.

Fry the cordon bleu in plenty of hot oil making sure it is not excessively hot, otherwise it burns the breading and the whole cordon bleu remains raw.
Let them brown on one side and then turn them over and cook on the other side, it will take in total about 10 minutes.

Once ready, put them on a plate covered with paper towels and serve immediately.

Enjoy your meal!
