Saving at home – Baked potatoes with bacon bits (or dried beef)

EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE

Hi everyone!

Everyone likes potatoes and what better occasion than a family lunch or dinner to prepare a side dish of tradition but with a bit of innovation?

The potatoes I propose today, enriched with the bacon bits (which can be safely replaced with dried beef bits), and the scales of pecorino are really delicious and very intriguing!

Let’s start:

BAKED POTATOES WITH BACON BITS (OR DRIED BEEF)

Ingredients for 4 people: 8 potatoes – 200 g Diced Sweet Bacon Raspini – 1 onion – 50 g pecorino – Thyme q.b. – Olive oil q.b. – Salt

Preparation:

Peel the potatoes and, with a knife, make many regular cuts in the pulp, then place them in a lightly oiled baking dish.

Inside the grooves put the bacon into cubes. Peel the chopped onion, and sprinkle it over the potatoes.

Place a few sprigs of thyme, pour a drizzle of oil, salt and bake for 25 minutes at 180° C.

Bake the potatoes and transfer them on an elegant and capacious serving dish.

Before serving the potatoes on the table, complete by adding a few pieces of pecorino cheese.

tricks:
If after 25 minutes the potatoes are still excessively hard, continue cooking in the oven for 5-10 more minutes.

Ideas and variants:
If you do not have thyme you can use rosemary or laurel to flavor the dish.
