A tasty but also healthy side dish, the recipe of the flat beans with tomato sauce is one of my favorite!
FLAT BEANS WITH TOMATO SAUCE
Ingredients for 4 people: 400 g Green beans – 1/2 red onion – 5 ripe tomatoes – 1/2 vegetable nut – extra virgin olive oil – salt and pepper
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into four parts (I leave them with the peel, but if you prefer, you can blanch them before cutting and removing it).
Wash the beans under running water, then trim them.
Clean and slice the red onion, heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan.
Add the onion, let it stew over low heat for 5 minutes, then pour the beans and let flavor for a couple of minutes, then pour the tomatoes.
Add a little hot water (about 2 ladles), add 1 spoon powder broth and finally cover with the lid.
Cook the flat beans for about 15 minutes or the time needed to shrink the sauce and when the saucers are rather soft.
Enjoy your meal!
