Saving at home – Rqaqat jibneh (Lebanon)

EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE

Hi everyone!

Today we will go for a Lebanese recipeeasy to do and delicious at the same time!

Here, too, you will need very few ingredients for a recipe that everyone will really like!

Let’s start:

RQAQAT JIBNEH

Ingredients for 4 people: 500 gr fresh cheese (like feta) – 500 gr puff pastry – 50 gr butter – 1 pinch of dried mint – 1 pinch of parsley – salt and pepper

Preparation:

First chop the cheese with a fork, while adding the dried mint and the chopped parsley.

Cut the puff pastry into strips of about 10 cm.

Lay a tablespoon of cheese on each strip and roll it up as if they were cannelloni.

Brush a little melted butter on each roll and bake at 170 ºC for about 20 minutes.

The Rqaqat jibneh should still be served warm, garnished with fresh mint leaves and/or parsley tufts.
