Saving at home – Tigelle (bread without oven)


Hi everyone!

Here we are with a recipe to make bread in no time and without using the oven.

If you want perfect tigelle, you can also make them with the specific mold.

Let’s start:


Ingredients for 4 people: 500 g flour – 200 g cream – 25 g yeast – 150 ml milk (50 ml to dissolve yeast and 100 ml for flour dough) – 10 g salt – 2 tablespoons lard (or if you prefer the same amount of extra virgin olive oil)


Place the flour on a working board, dissolve the yeast with 50 ml of milk (room temperature), and put it in the center of the flour, add salt and begin to knead.

Add the cream and if necessary a bit more milk and continue to knead until you get a compact and homogeneous dough. Place the dough in a bowl and let rise at least 2 hours.

After this time knead the dough again and form balls of about 40 gr each.

Let them rise again. Take the balls and flatten them with your hands or with a rolling pin. Obtain circles of about 7/8 cm. You will get at least 20 tigelle.

Heat a pan, grease it with very little lard (or olive oil) and cook the tigelle, about 10 minutes per side.

They must be golden on each side. Serve hot tigelle accompanied by salami, cheese, honey etc.
