Hi everyone!

Today we will see how to prepare the carrot hummus, a cream with a particular taste that will surely appeal to vegans but not only them. The recipe is quick and easy to make, and is ideal for an appetizer.

Let’s start:

CARROT HUMMUS

Ingredients for 4 people: 500 g of carrots – 6 tablespoons tahina – 1 clove of garlic – 1 pinch of strong paprika – some chives – 5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil – 10 g of apple cider vinegar – 1 teaspoon of salt – black pepper

Preparation:

Peel and wash the carrots and cut them into slices; steam or boil them until tender (it will take about ten minutes).

Collect the cooked carrots in the mixer, keeping some aside to decorate, and add the crushed garlic, tahina, paprika, vinegar, oil and salt.

Blend until you get a thick and smooth mixture.

The carrot hummus is ready to be transferred to a bowl and garnished with coarsely chopped chives, a few carrots, a sprinkle of black pepper and a little extra virgin olive oil.
