Sugar cubes – 96% Alcohol – Spices to taste (I used lemon grass, star anise and mint)

Get JARS that are not too large 150-250 ml and clean them thoroughly. Check that the lids are intact and without any defects or impurities. Now place on the bottom of the jars, part of your spice chosen for this preparation. You can use coffee beans, dried red fruits, cinnamon, dried blueberries.

Then place the sugars inside them in order to optimize the quantity. Finally, place other spices on the surface without reaching the edge of the jar. Pour the alcohol up to 1 cm from the edge and close carefully.

Store the jars in the dark for about 20 days.

Sometimes take the jars and shake them gently.

DIY (246) – Fabric recycling: fabric covers for containers

Hi everyone!!!!

Today we’re talking about fabric recycling!

In a few minutes you can prepare these fabric lids for your containers. I prefer the use of cotton, especially if the containers are to be used for food.

Comfortable, practical, you can use them thousands of times since you can wash them.

Let’s get started!!!

DIY N. 246

FABRIC RECYCLING: FABRIC COVERS FOR CONTAINERS

material:

fabric – needle and thread – elastic (1 cm) – pencil or fabric marking pen

This is a very easy project to do.

First take the container for which you want to create your lid.

Place it on the wrong side of the fabric and draw with a pencil the shape of the container (with a margin of at least 10 cm).

Fold the edge (about 1 cm and 1/2) and sew it, leaving a small piece open at the end so you can insert your elastic.

To know how much elastic you will need, I recommend you to place the fabric on top of your container before sewing the edge.

Depending on the edge, choose the size of the elastic (which should be slightly shorter than the container circumference, in order to close tightly your container.

Once inserted the elastic, sew the two ends and close the seam of the edge.

Your fabric lid is ready!!!

I hope you enjoyed also today’s creative idea.
