Il Comitato nazionale palestinese per il BDS (BNC), la più grande coalizione della società civile palestinese che guida il movimento globale per il boicottaggio, il disinvestimento e le sanzioni (BDS), invita i sostenitori dei diritti dei palestinesi in tutto il mondo a boicottare il gruppo Carrefour e a disinvestire da esso fino a quando non terminerà il suo sostegno alle gravi violazioni dei diritti umani dei palestinesi da parte di Israele.

L’8 marzo, il rivenditore multinazionale con sede in Francia Carrefour Group ha annunciato un nuovo accordo di franchising in Israele con Electra Consumer Products e la sua controllata Yenot Bitan, entrambe attive nel progetto di colonizzazione di Israele. Questa decisione rende Carrefour complice dei crimini di guerra commessi contro l’intero popolo palestinese dal regime israeliano di occupazione, colonialismo di insediamento e apartheid.

Secondo questa nuova partnership con Electra Consumer Products, gli striscioni di Carrefour sventoleranno nell’Israele dell’apartheid entro la fine del 2022 e tutti i negozi Yenot Bitan – più di 150 fino ad oggi – avranno accesso ai prodotti a marchio Carrefour.

The Palestinian National BDS Committee (BNC), the largest coalition of Palestinian civil society leading the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, calls on Palestinian rights supporters around the world to boycott the Carrefour group and to divest from it until it ends its support for Israel’s serious violations of Palestinian human rights. On March 8, France-based multinational retailer Carrefour Group announced a new franchise agreement in Israel with Electra Consumer Products and its subsidiary Yenot Bitan, both active in Israel’s settlement project. This decision makes Carrefour complicit in the war crimes committed against the entire Palestinian people by the Israeli regime of occupation, settler colonialism and apartheid. Under this new partnership with Electra Consumer Products, Carrefour banners will fly in apartheid Israel by the end of 2022 and all Yenot Bitan stores – more than 150 to date – will have access to Carrefour-branded products.
