Ingredients for 4 people: 300 g granulated sugar – 50 g apricot jam – 2 rolls of puff pastry – one egg – 3 ripe Kaiser pears – 80 g shelled walnuts – 1 teaspoon cinnamon – granulated sugar – powdered sugar
Preparation:
Peel the pears, cut them in half and remove the seeds getting a space for the stuffing.
Cook the sugar in 600 g of water with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon for 10-12 minutes, obtaining a syrup.
Lower the heat, dip the pears and cook for 9-10 minutes (15-20 minutes if they are not very ripe). Drain them on kitchen paper and let them cool. Chop 50 g of walnuts and mix with the apricot jam.
Cut out 12 strips of puff pastry 2 cm wide.
Fill the hole of each half pear with a teaspoon of the nut and jam mixture, then roll them in the puff pastry.
