Saving at home – Pears in puff pastry

EVERY DAY: AN EASY – FAST – AND CHEAP – RECIPE THAT SUITS EVERYONE

Hi everyone!

If you want to serve a delicious dessert which will be ready in no time, you have to try to make these pears in puff pastry… A dessert with a delicate taste and suitable for any dinner, either formal or casual.

Let’s start:

PEARS IN PUFF PASTRY

Ingredients for 4 people: 300 g granulated sugar – 50 g apricot jam – 2 rolls of puff pastry – one egg – 3 ripe Kaiser pears – 80 g shelled walnuts – 1 teaspoon cinnamon – granulated sugar – powdered sugar

Preparation:

Peel the pears, cut them in half and remove the seeds getting a space for the stuffing.

Cook the sugar in 600 g of water with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon for 10-12 minutes, obtaining a syrup.

Lower the heat, dip the pears and cook for 9-10 minutes (15-20 minutes if they are not very ripe). Drain them on kitchen paper and let them cool. Chop 50 g of walnuts and mix with the apricot jam.

Cut out 12 strips of puff pastry 2 cm wide.

Fill the hole of each half pear with a teaspoon of the nut and jam mixture, then roll them in the puff pastry.

Sprinkle the pears with plenty of powdered sugar and bake at 200° C for 24-25 minutes.

Take the out of the oven, sprinkle with a little of their cooking syrup, then with the powdered sugar and complete them with the walnuts and the remaining granulated sugar.
