Here we are today with an idea to recycle newspapers and magazines.
With simple newspapers you can create these beautiful vases and then cover them with images taken from magazines or even with remnants of colored fabric that you have at home.
This is also an activity that you can do with your children, who will have a lot of fun… and not just them!!!
Let’s get started!!!
RECYCLING NEWSPAPERS/MAGAZINES: VASES
newspapers – magazines (choose colored images to cut out) or remnants of fabric – vinyl glue – scissors.
Start by creating your vase (the base):
Cut your newspaper pages into many strips. Prepare a mix of vinyl glue and water (half of each product).
Now you can proceed in two different ways: the first is to inflate a balloon and coat it with newspaper strips previously immerged in the mix of vinyl glue and water; the second option is to coat a vase that you already have covered with plastic wrap and apply the newspaper strips on top of it.
Let it dry overnight (or until the newspaper is stiff).
At this point, cover your vase with strips taken from magazines or with fabrics (better if light), immerging them first in the mix of vinyl glue and water.
Your vase is ready!!!
